A dead alligator gar lays in a yard on Holly Street in Bridge City, Texas, Thursday September 18, 2008. A storm surge pushed water from the Sabine River marshlands into the surrounding neighborhood. Snakes and alligators (still alive) have been spotted in the damaged areas.
